Emmy Awards 2009: "30 Rock" und "Mad Men" triumphieren erneut

Filmstarts – "Same Procedure As Last Year". Auch bei der 61. Verleihung der Emmy-Awards konnten sich die Dominanten der jüngeren Vergangenheit wieder behaupten. Die Comedy-Serie "serie,30 Rock" und die Drama-Serie "serie,Mad Men" gewann erneut die wichtigsten Preise als beste Serien. Für "30 Rock" ist es bereits der dritte Sieg in Folge bei dem begehrten Fernsehpreis. "30 Rock"-Star und Serienerfinderin Tina Fey konnte aber überraschend nicht als beste Hauptdarstellerin in einer Comedy-Serie durchsetzen, sondern musste hier der Kollegin Toni Collette, die für ihre Rolle als Hausfrau mit multipler Persönlichkeit in "United States of Tara" geehrt wurde, den Vortritt lassen.

Trösten konnte sich Fey aber mit einem Preis für ihre bitterböse Parodie auf die republikanische Vize-Präsidentschaftskandidatin Sarah Palin in "Saturday Night Live". Ihr "30 Rock"-Kollege Alec Baldwin wurde dagegen erneut als bester Comedy-Schauspieler ausgezeichnet. Bei den Drama-Serien gewannen Bryan Cranston für "Breaking Bad" und Glenn Close für "Damages - Im Netz der Macht" die Preise. Bei den Nebendarstellern wurden Kristin Chenoweth (für "serie,Pushing Daisies") und Jon Cryer (für "Two and a Half Men") im Comedy-Bereich sowie Cherry Jones (für "24") und Michael Emerson (für "serie,Lost") in der Sparte Drama ausgezeichnet.
