Unfortunately, I think Tell Me Softly is very superficially portrayed in the film. The book goes much deeper emotionally and shows the characters, their thoughts and their development much more intensely. As a result, many scenes in the film look simplified or even completely different than in the book template.
I also noticed that the film is reminiscent of Culpa mía in some respects. Anyone who has seen the film will probably notice that the structure and representation of the more toxic relationship are partly similar. Unfortunately, Tell Me Softly takes that away from its own identity.
I think it's a real shame that many important moments from the book are missing from the film, because it's precisely these scenes that make the story so special. That's why I very much hope that the second part stays closer to the book template and gives the characters and their relationship more depth.
