Gary Sparrow is an unhappily married television repairman who lives in the 1990's with his wife Yvonne. But everything changes for Gary when he finds a time portal capable of transporting him to war-torn 1940's London, where he meets the beautiful bar maid Pheobe, in an East End pub.
